Hamilton Crashes in Bahrain

Lewis Hamilton stuffed his McLaren Mercedes into the wall at the end of Free Practice 2 in Bahrain today.

The young star lost control of his silver car after running wide over a kerb on a hot lap.

The incident appeared to be similar to the spin of Felipe Massa at round two in Malaysia when the Brazilian took an aggressive approach over a kerb and lost rear downforce heading into a successive turn.

Hamilton is reported by autosport.com to be in good condition following the 130mph shunt sideways into the wall. The Britain is suffering from bruising but was cleared by the on site medical center to continue racing this weekend.
