Raikkonen Number 1 Again!

Ferrari brought home the biggest of the trophies again this weekend in England at the British Grand Prix.

Kimi Raikkonen started 2nd and thanks to good strategy and diligence from the driver, Raikkonen brought home another 10 championship points making it two wins in two weekends. Teammate Felipe Massa suffered from mechanical problems on the starting grid and was forced to start from pit lane. Massa drove like he was being held over a fire and managed to shoot through the field to 5th and 4 points.

The English crowd cheered home McLaren British rookie Lewis Hamilton. The 22 year old started from pole but was lighter on fuel than both teammate Alonso and Raikkonen and ended on the podium with a third place finish.

Fernando Alonso brought home his McLaren in second after leading for the 2nd third of the race. Alonso short fueled on his second pit stop, meaning he took less fuel than planned, bringing him out in front of the Ferrari for the second stint of the race. That short fuel brought him in 6 laps earlier than Raikkonen and gave the Finn the time needed to regain first position and later the victory.

Raikkonen is now 18 points behind points leader Hamilton and just 6 behind 2nd place Alonso.
